While the Victorian Government has allowed the business events sector to gradually re-open, what promised to be a great event would have been significantly compromised in the current environment. The loss of delegates, sponsors, and exhibitors from NSW and having to limit the very important social aspects of the conference has forced our hand.
In planning this year’s event, we committed to ensure that all members who attended had a wonderful experience mingling freely and that sponsors and exhibitors had the opportunity to maximise their return on investment. This was at significant risk with format modifications and the forced absence of regular and new attendees, including our NSW friends.
We have resolved to reschedule the 2021 conference to a date free of restrictions where we can reconnect properly, learn more about operating a successful caravan park, and be joined by those unable to attend this time. We will now work on a number of alternative opportunities over the next twelve months.
For members who had already registered for the conference, all fees will now be refunded in full. Separate correspondence on how that will happen will follow shortly.
While we share in the disappointment that the conference has been postponed, we continue to value your VicParks membership and look forward to continuing to support you to build and sustain your business' success.
